Ring of Kerry tour, with my New Yorkers.
Today we toured the famous Ring of Kerry on another lovely October day in Ireland. On the outskirts of Killorglin, we stopped off to have a look at this man, David Lynch, who has a small stand there with his donkey and dog, and where he makes St Birdgets crosses out of reeds, just like the saint made them many years ago. Many tourists stop off here also just for a photo op.
Here we have the ladies, posing with Charlie Chaplin in Waterville, one of Charlie's favourite holiday destinations. From the left, Eileen, Kerry, Charlie, Kathy, and Patsy(used to be Pat)
We also had a stop off at Coomakista, outside Waterville, where this man below was selling Blackberry honey and jam, and while doing so, one of the ladies money was blown over the side, and retrieved by this good man, who can be seen here holding the rescued note for all to see. If you do happen to see him at Coomikista, make sure to try out his delicious honey and jam, i regularly purchase them myself for my own larder.
Posing together at Coomikista, Eileen, Patsy, Kerry, and in the back row, Kathy, with the broad Atlantic in the background.
If you do choose to drive in Ireland, please be aware that you will come across animals on the road, which could result in you losing your deposit on your car rental, which will make your holiday pretty expensive. It just might be better value to hire a chauffeur.
Here we have Kathy, posing for a lovely photo at Moll's Gap, high in the mountains, with the Gap of Dunloe in the background.
Just another of my tasks that come as a part of my job. The ladies selection of cameras, left all ready for me to make sure that everybody has their own personal photos for their own albums.
One of the many beautiful places where a picture is a must.
The view from Ladies View, the view, and the location made famous by Queen Victoria when she stood here, and declared it to be"The most beautiful view in the KIngdom".
Our final visit today was here at Killarney's St Mary's Cathedral, a truly magnificent cathedral, and one that should not be missed.
The ladies, pictured inside the cathedral, and standing in front of the main altar.
