Chauffeurdriven vacation with Dovechauffeurdrive ends in Dublin

Today my tour with my new pals, Mike and Liz Harn, came to a sad, but yet a happy ending in Dublin, when we parted company in Dublin at the Jury's Christchurch Hotel. I like to use this hotel, not only because it is a lovely hotel, but because of its great location, right across the road from Christchurch's historic Cathedral, and close to Dublin Castle, and St Patrick's Cathedral, and many other important places, including the popular Temple Bar.
Mike and Liz, this morning, after mopping up a fine breakfast in the Kinsale Mac Donald Hotel. I cannot believe that they eat like this all of the time when they are at home, as they both seem to be in fine condition. Wish i could do that and keep my figure. I am not saying that i am out of shape, and anybody who would say that about me must simply be jealous.

As this is the final Blog of Mike and Liz's tour, i am posting some of my favourite pictures of this lovely couple's tour with me. In this picture above we have Liz, taking command of the horse and jaunting car and in the Gap of Dunloe. This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of Liz and Mike's tour and they loved every minute of it, especially the boat ride down through the lakes.
Liz loves anything to do with boats and water, and here they both are, all rigged out for their boat ride down through the lakes of Killarney.
Torc waterfall in Killarney was another of the highlights, and you can see here that they were taking it all in with a big smile. Mike was of course wearing his Packers shirt, and what kept him safe here in Killarney was simply that the Packers colours are actually the same as the Kerry Gaelic football jerseys, and people thought he was a Kerry supporter. The Patriots knew better than to assault him here, when i mentioned that they would be in trouble if there were any Kerry supporters around.
Liz and Mike, in the gardens at Muckross House.
I had mentioned to Liz that the gardens were especially prepared for Queen Victoria, and here is Liz , looking around to see if Victoria is still here somewhere. I had to explain that that was a little while ago, and poor Liz was visibly disappointed. What can a fella do.
I can only imagine, that when Queen Victoria declared the views of the lakes of Killarney to be the most beautiful in the Kingdom, that she extended her arm, just as Liz is doing here. I think that Liz looks better than Victoria though, but of course, she has Mike there, in his Packers shirt, which adds to the beauty of the scene. That is of course, if you are a Packers fan.

I hate having to part with new friends, and i never find it easy. I actually felt guilty leaving this lovely couple on their own in Dublin to begin my long journey back across the country today. They were such lovely company, and never gave me as much as a minute of worry during our nine day tour. They loved their accommodation everywhere, they loved their great Irish food, Liz her Shepherd's Pie, and Mike his Lamb shanks. They loved their fish and chips, and their wonderful Irish stew in Doolin. They loved my laid back style of touring, the no hurry breakfasts, and the time they had to lounge around and visit places like Muckross House and the shops in Killarney. They loved Kinvara, and the Gap of Dunloe tour. They loved the Celtic Steps show in Killarney, they loved it all. What more can i say.
On a personal note
Thanks you sincerely Mike and Liz, you will remain in my memories, and my prayers. You will always be welcome back.
Travel home in safety, and please do stay in touch.
