On their way up the narrow road to the Gap at the top of the mountains
I am glad to say that their boatman was this guy called Patrick, and that Liz was retired from her driving, much to the relief of Mike.
The journey down trough the lakes is a really lovely trip, as you are surrounded by the Kerry mountains, and all the beautiful shrubs and bushes and wildlife along the way back to Killarney.
Well here they are again, safely wrapped up in their life jackets as they make their way down through the lakes.
This lovely old bridge is just one of the many sights to enjoy as you travel along.
The journey finally ends at the old O'Donoghue castle on the shores of Lough Laune.
Liz and Mike look like they are very happy to be back on dry land again after their epic journey.
A nice picture of Mike and Liz, now ready once again for some good old Irish food, after working up another killer appetite after their endurance test in Gap of Dunloe. They loved every minute of it though, and would do it all again. Well done. Remember, the family back in the USA are watching, and all very jealous, i think. My love to them all, they themselves have done it with me also, and they were a joy to be with.
