Cliffs of Moher with Dovechauffeurdrive

This morning we left Kinvara, as we made our way into the Burren of County Clare, on our way to the Cliffs of Moher. We passed through the town of Lisdoonvarna, famous for its matchmaking festival ever September. Back in the old days, farmers, and others, seeking a life partner, went to Lisdoonvarna after the harvest, and there they met up with the matchmakers, men who would take their details, and try then to match them with a suitable partner. Many men came from the USA to get a good Irish wife, and many succeeded. This Festival continues to this day, and the picture above displays the notice for this years forthcoming festival next September.
Want to come?
My gallant crew standing outside the Matchmaker Bar in the town. From the left, Eliza,Alex, Andrew, and Christine.
Eliza just loves animals, dogs, cats, cows, and especially sheep and lambs. I am hoping that i will be able to find a lamb somewhere for her to cuddle.

It was a damp day at the Cliffs, but everybody enjoyed the visit, as you can see in this picture.
From the left we have, Alex, Eliza, Christine and Andrew.
Durty Nellie's Pub at Bunratty castle.
After moving on from the Cliffs we began our journey south and stopped off at Durty Nellie's pub in Bunratty, where we enjoyed a feast of really good "Fish and Chips, and Mushy Peas".
Here we have, Christine and Eliza, happy together,in Durty Nellie's.
And finally, a lovely picture of Christine, all wrapped up at the Cliffs.

Another great day in the West of Ireland, on the Wild Atlantic Way.
