My latest party, Sheryl and Jack Cullen, and Jack's brother Tom, with his wife Maureen, arrived in Galway yesterday, in the early afternoon. They enjoyed a little stroll around the city centre, and a snack, before we made our way to Kinvara, where they were staying last night. Jack and Sheryl had toured with me in the past, but this is a first for Tom and Maureen. Eventhough we did not get to do a lot more together yesterday, i know that we will have a great time over the next few days.
The weather was really lovely, with temperatures reaching a high for the year so far, touching the eighty mark in some areas.
The forecast looks good for the next few days also, so hopefully we are in for a nice spell of weather.
Today, Sunday, we will be making our way into County Mayo, and visiting the wonderful Ashford Castle, where we will be having lunch in Cullen's cottage restaurant. Another view of Ashford. This is a five star hotel, and rated as one of the world's finest hotels. A nice place to stay, if you can afford it.
I will be posting as we travel, so please follow along, if you have the time.
